Anti-acid tile specifications
Anti-acid brick tiles – is an unglazed product that is resistant to acids (except HF or hydrofluoric acid) due to its high strength.
are of interest. It should be mentioned that the chemical resistance of acid-resistant tiles against alkaline substances is not mandatory. The body color of acid-resistant tiles is usually white.
Anti-acid tile and its features:
Appearance characteristics of anti-acid tile
Physical and mechanical properties of anti-acid tile
Chemical properties of anti-acid tiles
Anti-acid tile and its appearance features:
The characteristics of acid-resistant tiles include the shape of the tile, sizes and thickness, and the limitations and conditions related to each of these characteristics in acid-resistant tiles are as follows:
Anti-acid tile
Anti-acid tile shape:
Anti-acid tiles are usually square (square or rectangular), but there is no special limit in this regard. Only tiles of other shapes should have all the standard features of acid-proof tiles.
This standard does not place any special restrictions on all anti-acid parts, including parts for edges and sides, as well as parts with special shapes that are used in tanks, in terms of shape and size, but in terms of sizes and tolerances, they must be Attention to the nominal sizes of each code is determined by the manufacturer and according to the sizes and tolerances of the tiles of the same size, they meet the conditions mentioned in this standard. From the point of view of the physical and chemical characteristics of anti-acid parts that are in shapes other than quadrangles, they must have all the characteristics specified in the standard of anti-acid tiles.
Sizes in anti-acid tiles:
According to this standard, there are no special restrictions on acid-resistant tiles
Anti-acid tile thickness:
In acid-resistant tiles, this standard does not specify a specific limit for the thickness, but its manufacturer is obliged to determine and declare the thickness of each of these acid-resistant tiles that he produces. The thickness of the anti-acid tile includes the ridges behind it.
Anti-acid tile and its physical and mechanical characteristics:
In anti-acid tile, these features include water absorption, bending resistance, surface hardness, wear resistance, thermal shock resistance, and frost resistance.
Anti-acid tile and its chemical properties:
Anti-acid tiles are resistant in contact with acidic chemicals, so chemical resistance of this type of product against alkaline substances is not required.
Packaging and labeling of anti-acid tiles (specifications):
The anti-acid tile should have a suitable package and the following information and specifications should be recorded on the package:
The name of the anti-acid tile and the manufacturer’s mark
Sign ((K-Z))
Including made in Iran
Referring to the number of this standard and the acid resistance of the tile
barcode
Sizes and thickness of anti-acid tiles
Detailed information about the number and approximate area of anti-acid tiles in each package must be written in Persian and the manufacturer is allowed to record the information in a foreign language on the package.
The method of testing the acid resistance of anti-acid tiles:
Equipment :
dryer
Accurate scale with an accuracy of 100 grams
jaw crusher
Sieves of 6300 microns (30.6 mm) and 4750 microns (4.75 mm)
electric stove
Mechanical vibrator
desiccator
ingredients :
Sulfuric acid (78% 60 B, SPgr = 1.706 by weight)
Exam preparation:
The tested anti-acid tile should be crushed by a jaw crusher. The granulation of crushed materials should include the remaining materials on the 6300 micron sieve (the largest grains) and passed through the 4750 micron sieve (the smallest grains).
After preparing about 1000 grams of sample with the same granulation conditions as above, it is necessary to sieve the sample with the help of vibrating sieves No. 3 (6300 microns) and No. 4 (4750 microns) for 15 minutes. Then the remaining materials on the sieve No. 4 (which passed through the sieve No. 3) are completely mixed and 2 samples of 50 grams of these mixed materials are taken. These samples should be dried in the dryer for half an hour at a temperature of 120 degrees Celsius.
method :
Each of the 50 gram samples is carefully weighed by 0.01 gram and poured into the beaker along with 250 ml of sulfuric acid. Then the human contents are placed on an electric stove for 48 hours to slowly boil. Then the contents of the broth are cooled and passed through a strainer.
The percentage of weight loss is obtained from the following formula:
L=(M1 – M2 / M1)*100
Percentage of weight loss = L
Initial weight in grams = M1
Secondary weight in grams = M2
The maximum weight loss allowed is 1.5%.
