Anti-acid epoxy mortar. A three-component mortar produced by Pasargad Refractory Company for anti-acid linings, which consists of three components: powder (P), epoxy resin liquid (R) and hardener liquid (H). Mixing the hardener with epoxy resins must be done in the exact ratio declared by the manufacturer. After thoroughly mixing the resin and hardener, add some powder to it. In this type of mortar, the reaction of epoxy resin with polyamine hardeners is usually additive reaction.
Epoxy resin-based mortars have different strengths depending on the type of hardener used. These mortars are resistant to low-concentration mineral acids, alkalis and salts, but their resistance to oxidants, concentrated mineral acids, low molecular weight organic acids and many solvents is weak. One of the advantages of epoxy-based mortars is their very low shrinkage shrinkage, Shrinkage-Free. The heat resistance of anti-acid epoxy mortar is about 60oC.
Epoxy mortars have excellent adhesion to the concrete surface and ceramic body. Due to their good adhesion, tiles can often be installed directly on surfaces using epoxy mortar without the need for membranes. Epoxy-based antacid mortars are commonly used to install and bond bricks and tiles to floor surfaces. This type of mortar is used in surfaces that require high mechanical strength.
Important points when applying anti-acid epoxy mortar:
Each time you use it, you should mix only a small amount of ingredients that you can consume in the applicable time. After this time, the mixed materials harden quickly and become unusable.
Never expose the material to direct sunlight before use.
Never use solvent or water to dilute the product
The container in which the mixing takes place must be completely dry and clean. After emptying the material from the containers, the lid of the storage containers must be completely closed and air must not be allowed to enter the container.
After making the mortar to prevent rapid setting, use the mortar in a shallow container such as a paint roller container.
